Description Join Labor Center alum and nationally-recognized expert Michele Evermore, along with leading UMass economist and policy researcher Arindrajit Dube to examine how and why unemployment insurance is and should be a key issue for the labor movement. In addition to providing a foundation for understanding UI as a critical resource for union workers, this session will explore with participants how targeted policy changes in state UI systems, along with potential federalization of UI, can be a significant source of worker power.
